Basils Waldorf
Serving: About a pint
4 Granny Smith apples (unpeeled)
2 Sticks of celery
1-2 pinches of ground cinnamon
This recipe uses the classic combinatin of celery and apple - two of the main ingredients in a waldof salad - did Basil Fawlty get those right? However thats as far as the waldorf salad comparison goes as the juice also includes the distinctive taste of cinnamon.
The cinnamon gives the juice a comforting and lifting aroma whilst the apples provide energy through their natural sugars. Make sure you leave the peel on your apples as much of their nutritional content is stored in the peel.
Celery is often used as a diuretic and so this juice can help get rid of any fluid retention. Celery also contains potassium which is good for the skin.
